Pi describes the sights, smells, and sounds of Hinduism. What colours does he associate with Hindusim? What do these colours represent to you? He sees the world from a Hindu perspective, but cautions against fundamentalism, and uses a story about Krishna to illustrate his point (p49). Paraphrase Pi's point.

Pi describes the green elements that represent Islam. What does that colour suggest to you? After praying with Mr Kumar, Pi states: 'Tree took account of road, which was aware of air, which was mindful of sea, which shared things with sun. Every element lived in harmonious relation with its neighbour, and all was kith and kin (p62). Explain the significance of that quotation. What colour/s does Pi associate with Christianity?
